A Study of David: Developing a Heart for God

 
  When: Twice a month on Sundays following the evening worship service.  September-April
  Where: Rotating between small group members homes.
  What: Journey deeper into David's character and discover how he became a "man after God's own heart."  Learn how David relied on his faith and personal relationship with God to carry him through life's struggles.

The Group

  Who: For Post High, Young Adults, "20 some-things", both single and married.
  When: 2nd & 4th Sunday after the A.M. service
  Where: Covenant Room (Youth Room - Lower Level)
  What: Food, discussions, prayer and support for each other.

Circle of Friends

  Who: Individuals and Couples 50 years or older
  When: One evening each month
  Where: Various homes and locations
  What: The primary purpose is fellowship with group outings or guest speakers.

Celebrate Recovery

  Who: Anyone needing a Christ centered recovery program.  It's designed to help those with hurts, habits and hang-ups. 
  When: Every Thursday, 7:00 p.m.
  Where: Maurice, IA
  What: It's designed to help those with hurts, habits and hang-ups.  A  12 step program that focuses on the teachings of Jesus (not just a "higher power"), specifically the Beatitudes in order to discover recovery, wholeness, and growth when facing pain, shame or addictions.

MOPS

  Who: Mothers of Preschoolers (Infant- 1st Grade)
  When: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 9:00AM- 11:30AM
  Where: Trinity CRC- Agape Room (Lower Level)
  What: Mothers of Preschoolers exists to meet the needs of every mom who shares a desire to be the very best moms they can be!  MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.  Helping moms, through relationships, MOPS provides a caring atmosphere from today's mother of young children.

Revolve Tour- Inside Out

  Who: 6th-9th Grade Girls
  When: Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10
  Where: Minneapolis, MN
  What: The 2007-2008 Event for Teen Girls from Women of Faith.  Hot Topics include:  the inside scoop on relationships, keeping it real:  inside & out, the truth about guys and secrets to real beauty.  The tour will be featuring: Hawk Nelson, Natalie Grant, Ayiesha Woods, KJ-52, and many more.

Loving Well-Beth Moore

 
  When: Beginning September 10 at 8:00PM
  Where: Trinity CRC- Agape Room (Lower Level)
  What: A four week inspiring journey led by Beth Moore where you will dive into scripture and discover hard-hitting truths designed to help women embrace the biblical mandate to love and to develop skills for loving others.

Crown Financial

  Who: Any adult interested in learning God's financial principles in order to know Christ more intimately and to be free to serve Him.
  When: Spring 2008
  Where: Trinity CRC and periodically in homes
  What: Many lives around the country including families and individuals in Trinity have been blessed by the teaching of Scripture as presented in Crown Financial Ministry.  Crown Financial is committed to teaching people God's financial principles in order to know Christ more intimately and to be free to serve Him.  This is much more than a budgeting course; it's learning to use all our resourced in a more God honoring way.  A daily commitment to Bible study and verse memorization for ten weeks is expected.

Ascending Leaders- Spirit's Fruit Study

 
  When: Wednesday Evenings at 7:00PM- Beginning September 26
  Where: Trinity CRC- Thomas Room (Lower Level)
  What: What does it look like when a person's life intensely reflects the character of Christ?  What does it look like when a person's actions, thoughts, feelings, and words consistently echo the actions, thoughts, feelings, and words of Jesus?  This study of the fruit of the Spirit has been prepared to help you develop the dimensions of Christ-likeness; love, peace, patience and gentleness, kindness and compassion, goodness and gratitude, gentleness, self-control, and forgiveness.  Spirit's Fruit will lead you on a journey of discovery.  You will experience and discover methods for cultivating a favorable environment where the Spirit can grow larger, juicier, and sweeter fruit in your life.

Becoming a Contagious Christian

 
  When: Wednesday Evenings at 7:00PM- Beginning September 26- 6 weeks
  Where: Trinity CRC- Matthew Room (Lower Level)
  What: Would you enjoy growing in confidence in order to discuss matters of faith with friends?  Talk about Jesus in a style that's personal and natural?  Live each day with a vision and passion to reach others?  It can happen!  Becoming a Contagious Christian is a proven six-session DVD evangelism resource designed to equip believers for relational evangelism.  Share the gospel in a natural and powerful way while being the person God made you to be.  The DVD format will guide you in: Building spiritually significant relationships, Directing conversations toward matters of faith, Explaining biblical truth in every-day language, Telling your own story of coming to faith.

The Book of Amos

 
  When: Wednesday Evenings at 7:00PM- Beginning September 26
  Where: Trinity CRC- Agape Room (Lower Level)
  What: Does the prophet Amos have anything relevant to say to the Church of the 21st century?  Does the church have a responsibility in addressing social injustice?  Join in a study to hear God's ancient Word come alive for the church and our world.  Listen to what the farmer from Tekoa has to say in critique of those whose lives are shaped not by the word but by materialism.  If the Church is to be the God-ordained community that God intended, we do well to listen to what Amos has to say.

Coffee Break

  Where: First CRC- Rock Valley
  What: A church-based, community-oriented small group Bible study strategy complete with daycare.  The goal of Coffee Break is to bring women into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and nurture their faith in Him.  This year the study will focus on the book of Hebrews.
