Pastor Al Kuiper
Minister of Worship & Congregational Care
Pastor Al was born and raised a Hawkeye in NW Iowa. He
grew up on a farm near Sanborn, and he is an alumnus of the
Christian schools in this area. His wife Jan is a native
of Lynden, Washington area. She grew up on a dairy farm,
and she is an alumna of Lynden Christian Schools. They met
as students at Dordt College and were married in the shadows of
the Cascade Mountains the summer after graduation. While
Jan taught 3rd grade, Al began his studies at Calvin Seminary.
Their call to ministry had led them to North Carolina, Salt Lake
City, Cedar Falls, Iowa; Hull, Iowa; Des Moines, Iowa. They
began serving the Trinity congregation in September, 2004, as
the Minister of Worship and Congregational Care.
They have three children: Bruce & Nicki (Alons) Kuiper, with
Benjamin & Lindsay; Gwen (Kuiper) Vos, with Anthony & Evan;
Justin & Sheri (Kuiper) VerSteeg, with Tessa, Gabriel, & Naomi.
Both of them enjoy hosting meals, and over the years, Jan has
been involved with Coffee Break, GEMS, and the prison ministry
of Crossroads Bible Studies. She enjoys the adventures
that come with reading, bird watching, flowers, and doing things
with the grandchildren. Pastor Al enjoys woodworking,
astronomy, sailing, golfing, and wilderness camping.
Pastor Mark Beernink
Minister of Church Life & Leadership
Pastor Mark was born and raised on a farm in Northwest Iowa.
After graduating from Sioux Center High School, he graduated
from Iowa State University located in Ames, Iowa. Eleven
years later, he began studies at the North American Baptist
Seminary in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he graduated in
2003/ Pastor Mark began serving Trinity as the Minister of
Church Life and Leadership in the fall of 2003.
Brenda currently works for Wells Fargo in Sioux Falls as a
Data Base Analyst and enjoys reading, movies, cooking and
hosting others in the home. Mark enjoys waterskiing, golf,
baseball, and reading.
Mark and Brenda have two children, Ashley and Logan, one
grandson, Christian, and their dog, CJ.

Jo Dirksen
Office Administrator
Jo Dirksen was born, raised, and has lived most of her life
in Rock Valley. Jo is a graduate of Western Christian High
School. Jo and Dick have five children, Steve, Mindi,
Kirk, Tanya and Jodi. Jo and Dick also have seven
grandchildren. Jo currently serves as an office
administrator at Trinity.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys spending time being Grandma, and
being involved with her grandchildren's activities. Jo
also enjoys crocheting, and spending time with family and
friends.

Kim DeJong
Office Administrator
Kim DeJong was born and raised in Rock Valley. Kim
graduated from Rock Valley Christian School and Western
Christian High School. After graduation, Kim began working
and became an office administrator at Trinity in July of 2007.
Kim and Michael have two children, Jaelyn and Tayjen.
Michael is a financial planner with Freedom Financial in Rock
Valley.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys scrapbooking, camping,
waterskiing, spending time with family, and cheering on the
Hawkeyes!
Dennis & Pam DeJager
Janitors
Dennis and Pam DeJager serve as janitors at Trinity.
Both have lived in Rock Valley most of their lives and have been
married since, April 1979.
Dennis and Pam have four children, Michael, Joni, Jessica,
and Marcus.
Dennis also works for the Iowa D.O.T. since August 1978.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and attending his
children's ballgames.
Pam keeps busy at the church and loves to spend time
outdoors, especially in her flower garden. Both Dennis and
Pam enjoy camping and motorcycle riding.
Sharon Visser
Music Coordinator
Sharon was born in Canton, South Dakota and was raised
outside of Inwood, Iowa on the farm. Sharon attended West
Lyon Community School, Inwood Christian School and graduated
from Western Christian High School. Sharon also attended
Dordt College in Sioux Center and Northwest Iowa Community
College in Sheldon, Iowa.
Sharon and Stan have four children, Greg, Eric, Alex, and
Molly. Stan and Sharon have also been blessed with three
grandchildren.
Sharon currently serves as Trinity's Music Coordinator and is
employed by Sanford Health in Sioux Falls as a registered nurse.
Sharon says she is too busy for hobbies, although she enjoys
fishing with her family when her children will let her use the
boat.
Deb Vogel
Worship Coordinator
Deb Vogel was born and raised on a farm near Edgerton,
Minnesota. After graduating from Southwest Christian High
School in Edgerton, Deb spent three years at Dordt College,
located in Sioux Center, Iowa and one year at Central Michigan
University, located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Deb also
completed her graduate work at the University of South Dakota,
located in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Deb and Dayton have two children, Jon and Jordan
Deb currently serves as Trinity's Worship Coordinator and
also is employed by Dordt College as an adjunct professor of
music.
Besides teaching private voice lessons, Deb enjoys reading,
gardening, golfing and keeping up with her boy's activities.
